Driveaction - A company created to build very special vehicles - indeed vehicles that could be considered as "Not Normal". The majority of the automotive engineering carried out is aimed at fast road, race or the rally scene. Founded by Pat Jackson, the company aims to provide a one-stop-shop for your automotive engineering and track experiences. Pat Jackson started life on motorcycles before progressing to rallying. He enjoyed a lot of success in a Banham X99 RallyCar which marked his the start of his involvement with specialist vehicles. From bikes and rallying Pat moved into vehicle development - with a specific interest in building on an existing concept that light and agile means impressive on the track. Pat took his idea to all the major kit car manufacturers until finally Steve Porter at Stirling Autos saw the potential and agreed to provide an ex-show chassis, second hand body, new running gear and engine. Pat took all this and constructed his new concept in his garage over 4 weekends. The BEC (Bike Engined Car) was born - the major manufacturers had shunned the idea - but it became a reality in just a month and took the car world by storm! It hit the press in Kit Car December 1998 article on the original F27 Blade , and trounced the very expensive competition at Donington in 1998 . The car went on to appear in numerous articles, including this F27 Car and Car Conversions and Kit Car International . Imitation is the best form of flattery - and that F27 spawned the mega Westfields and the BEC caterhams, from the very companies that had said they were not interested. The original F27 is still going strong today - here you can see the original F27 Spinning at the hands of it's current owner Cas over 12 years later! This exposure introduced Pat to Steve Hole of Total Kit Car Magazine - and they have had a long relationship with Pat as the magazine Test Driver and contributor, for example on a Cobra Review that he undertook for the magazine. Pat also has a long standing relationship with the Bruntingthorpe airfield, running the Big Thunder events as the chief coordinator. A master at organising track days, corporate events, advanced driver days for emergency services and Asda Charity Events , DriveAction can work with you from concept to execution for all your adrenalin needs! Today - DriveAction is the southern agent for MK sports cars, providing kit build up and finishing services.
